Tunisian Kakis with Black Olives are a crisp, flavorful twist on a classic North African snack. Infused with bits of real black olives and topped with coarse salt, they bring a Mediterranean flair to your aperitif or afternoon nibble.

 

Recipe for Tapenade & Kakis Aperitif Platter (Parve)

Ingredients (Serves 4–5):

  • 1 small jar black olive tapenade (certified kosher parve)

  • 1 small jar roasted red peppers, drained

  • A few sun-dried tomatoes

  • Pickled artichokes or capers

  • Kosher pickles or gherkins

  • A handful of Black Olive Kakis

  • Optional: lemon zest or thyme sprigs for garnish

Instructions:

  1. On a platter, place a small bowl of tapenade in the center.

  2. Arrange roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, and pickled vegetables around it.

  3. Add a generous handful of black olive kakis on the side for dipping and scooping.

  4. Garnish with lemon zest or fresh thyme for an aromatic touch.

Ideal for Shabbat appetizers or Mediterranean-themed grazing boards.
