Can in plastic of 360 grams. It is kosher under the Loubavitch Rabbinate of France, Parve Bishoul Israel.

Pkaila is a tipical kosher Tunisian dish served on shabbat and at Rosh Hashana, the Jewish New Year. It may be the most famous dish from Tunisian cuisine (especially from La Goulette). You can call this product bkaïla but also pkaïla or pkela.

It is usually served with beef stew, white beans and couscous or Italian bread.

This condiment looks like a dark paste and is very rich.

This can is fried spinach ready to cook. No need to fry (in a lot of oil) the spinach for hours.

Store the can at room temperature in a dry place before opening. Once opened, keep cool and use within 2 days.

This dish made with spinach is supposed to be good for the heart, the eyes and the bowel.

You could add mint, parsley, dill or cilantro or you can use it with lamb.

People from Constantine also eat it and call it "La T'fina Aux épinards". T'fina is the Sephardic equivalent of the Ashkenazic cholent. Another Sephardic term for this type of dish is hammim, a warm dish.
